HOW LOW CAN YOU GO?

NEW TYPE II ADJUSTER IN KIT FORM.

This system of adjuster was developed by Kruzinwagon Pty Ltd. Kingswood. N.S.W. It is a system that can be done at home or in the workshop. It does require welding and should be carried out by a qualified welder. This system of adjuster operates by opposite gears that lock together. The top plate is designed to lock onto the bottom plate when the centre l9mm nut is torqued up. Making it compact, easy to fit and use

There is minor cutting to the beam but only a small slot to allow the setscrew to rotate. The bottom plate that covers the slotted area more than compensates for any weakening caused by the slotting. Comprehensive instructions are included in the kit along with top and bottom plates and a new extra long M14 x 1.5 setscrew and a M14 x 1.5 lock nut. (You need to retain your own l9mm lock nut M14 x 1.5)

HOW LOW CAN YOU GO? Each gear tooth or increment equals a 5-degree change or 10-15mm of adjustment at the front wheels. The slot in the bottom plate has 90 degree of movement downward. So if its in the weeds your after, a bus that has a problem with speed humps or only a measly few inches these "Angus" adjusters are right for the job..

If its lower than 75mm your after, the bumpstops will be a problem. The bumpstops are designed to limit suspension travel in pothole situations, to stop tyres hitting bodywork and limiting ball joint travel. Bumpstops must not be removed. They are required by law.

The good news is Kruzinwagon can supply a kit that makes the bumpstop adjustable. It will handle up to 175mm-suspension drop. It too requires welding and comes with comprehensive instructions. The instructions for both the Adjusters and Bumpstops include a list of hand and power tools required and are step by step with photos, from start to finish. It's from when the beam is out of the bus stripped and clean, the instructions begin. We recommend Bentleys publication V279 Bus 68-79, for removal and replacement of the beam. These adjusters can be used to raise the bus as well, if that's what turns you on.
